I've listed the as-configured device, which I've selected trying to use the one truest to what the composer might have used or as recommended by the community if anyone sees a better choice please flag it. I've listed the midi-type I'm using, however the game might support others. Here are 171 titles queried from my personal play-testing collection of roughly 600 titles. Leisure Suit Larry 6 (Diskette version only) #Tyrian 2000 cheat tabble PatchSo far I've confirmed Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis works with the MT-32 emulation, and sounds to me as though it's using the correct instruments (though I'm not super familiar with the game's soundtrack)Īlso the following SCI games support the use of General MIDI emulation with the help of a patch (AWESOL.ZIP): I realise the prevailing opinion on here is that it's worthless and not worth the time, but I'm determined to give it a try anyway. Is there a list somewhere of games which do not use a DOS extender and run in real mode, which also support either the default MT-32 instrument set or General MIDI? I've just setup an AWE64 card, and would like to play around with the emulation to see how it sounds. Tyrian2k (gm): just selecting MIDI on port 330 crashed the setup utility - occurs irrespective of AWEUTIL being loaded Startrek Judgement Rites CDROM (mt32): sounds a bit odd, notes stick (custom instruments?) Startrek 25th CDROM (mt32): sounds a bit odd, notes stick (custom instruments?) Legend of Kyrandia 1 (mt32): BGM sounds great but the sound effects sound off, doesn't seem to be a way to choose different devices for them in the setup This can be avoided by disabling digital sound FX. Hocus pocus (gm): sounds good but music will eventually "crash" and stop playing. Fate of Atlantis (mt32): music is suuuuper quiet, can fight the mixer to get it to a reasonable level, but it still sounds a bit off (custom instruments?) ![]()
